Opposition in denial, says well-known writer

Amidst the allegations made to oust the President Rodrigo Duterte, social media personality Krizette Laureta Chu stood firm in her claim that the opposition is being thick skinned in throwing criticisms against the government.

According to Chu in her Facebook post, the opposition is pushing it further despite receiving little support from the Filipino people.

The DLSU Communication Arts graduate was referring to issues such as, tagging Sen. Bam Aquino as more intelligent than Thinking Pinoy administrator, RJ Niete in their face off in last week’s senate hearing, putting former DOJ Sec. Leila De Lima behind bars, organizing a rally and coordinating with powerful sectors of the society to overthrow Duterte.

“If you do the same thing again and again and expect different results each time, you must be a special kind of stupid. Is it so difficult to understand that there is nothing you can do--the murder of young men? Believe it or not people actually think you have a hand in that--to remove a President who is loved beyond your comprehension (understandable, because you were never loved that way),” she said.

That's the theme that permeates and informs the actions of the Opposition.

When you say Bam Aquino sounded more intelligent than RJ Nieto at the Senate hearing, you deny the overwhelming public opinion laid bare before you, easily quantifiable by numbers and hits.

When you demand that people apologize to De Lima for desecrating her door, you deny the fact that majority of people are actually very happy to see her there. Do you hear an outcry that De Lima is jailed? Do you see people protesting and calling for her release? Di niyo gets? Masaya kami. Kulang pa nga eh, actually. Di namin gets why she still gets interviewed. Mas masaya kami kung ma isolation siya.

When you insist on holding yet another rally to oust Duterte, you deny the fact that your last one was yet another exercise in futility, when you couldn't even police your people from trashing the streets and vandalizing public property. Para kayong manliligaw na hindi Lang binasted, dinuraan pa.

When you think you can mobilize the establishment, the Church, and the authorities people used to listen to again and again to join you in your crusade, and people are rebelling against this instead of supporting it, your denying that your once solid stranglehold has loosened. We think you're all in cahoots to keep the ignorant, ignorant. The status quo has always benefited you, so we understand why you're protesting.


When you keep using the same provocative issues--China, EJK, untold billions--and yet your numbers do not rise, and you're surrounded by the same old people looking for flimsiest of reasons to overthrow a wildly popular President, you deny that Filipinos will accept anything Duterte does (yes, even if he really has billions in his bank account), for the pleasure of not seeing the same old politicians in power again.
