Mayor Sara Duterte hits back at Tindig Pilipinas

On Saturday, cause-oriented group Tindig Pilipinas criticized President Rodrigo Duterte as "paranoid and insecure little man" for threatening to set up a revolutionary government. The opposition group earned a feisty remark from the Presidential daughter, Sara Duterte-Carpio

"Power grabbers have made their point, made their presence felt, caught our attention, and we know who they are. The threat of destabilization is as real as terrorism," Mayor Sara said.

Is President Duterte paranoid?

"Of course he is not. All his destabilization claims are from intel reports and reliable sources from inside the offices of the people identified with the opposition," mayor Duterte said.

"How can he be insecure when he is the President?" asked the Davao City Mayor.

She added, "When you are the President, there is nothing that will make you feel insecure – not survey results or a person like Trillanes or a power-hungry group called Tindig Pilipinas."

The Davao City mayor was referring to Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, one of her father's staunchest critics who accused the Duterte family of owning unexplained wealth which the senator filed a complaint in the Office of the Ombudsman.

Last week, Duterte-Carpio also tagged Trillanes and his fellow senators Francis Pangilinan and Risa Hontiveros as “opportunists” for turning their backs at her father after asking his help and support from the previous elections.

Trillanes, in response, said he did not yet know then that Duterte was a "murderer and a thief."
