He told reporters to convey his words before meeting with United States President Donald Trump during the ASEAN Summit in Manila.
"No wonder so many of our top IT companies have invested here. They (Philippine government) are creating thousands of jobs and promoting the Philippine service sector worldwide,” Modi said in his speech.
Modi now wishes to see many Southeast Asian countries to also be a “global manufacturing hub”, which India is becoming now.
"Just as India sees business opportunity in the region, I am sure ASEAN recognizes business potential in India," said the prime minister.
The Philippines over took India’s record on housing the largest number of voice-based business process outsourcing services in the world, in 2011.
The BPO industry employs 1.5 million people, which since then became the economic life line of the Philippines.
"Here in Philippines, also the government want to see change, bring about inclusive growth," he added.
Modi also said that our countries are among the fastest growing economies in the world, noting of the similarities between the Philippines and India.
