Retired general hits Alejano on revolutionary gov't remarks: "Mr. Alejano does not know what he is talking about."

Abe Purugganan, a graduate of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA), slams opposition law maker, Gary Alejano, who challenged the legality of President Rodrigo Duterte’s declaration of a revolutionary government.

Alejano, a representative Magdalo party list in the House of Representatives, called out the danger of the declaration of Duterte of a revolutionary government because the concept of revolutionary government, according to Alejano, would practically lead to the abolishing of the 1987 Constitution and in effect, the Philippines as well.

He stated that people who supported the claim should be arrested by state forces, implying that supporters are traitors of the Philippines.

Purugganan lashed out the against the mentioned claims of Alejano by arguing that it is the constitutional and sovereign right of the Filipino people to declare a revolutionary government since the people, according to him, are the highest governing authority in the Philippines.

He vehemently cites how it is ironic to use the 1987 Constitution against the declaration yet at the same time, the 1987 Constitution, according to Purugganan, was a product of a revolutionary government.

Moreover, Purugganan, called out the credibility of the 1987 Constitution as a basis by claiming that it was controlled by the ruling “political elite” and “oligarchs”.

Purugganan then went to reverse the claim of Alejano by accusing him and the opposition as deceivers and destabilizer of the Philippine Government, and according to Purugganan , they should be the one who should be arrested.

“Mr. Alejano does not know what he is talking about.

"He is warning the sovereign Filipino people not to express their sovereign will. He is subverting the sovereign will of the Filipino people. Sila ang kaaway ng bayan.

He wants all of us to be arrested for exercising our sovereign rights. Baka siya ang arestuhin ng taong bayan.

Baka nakalimutan niya na ang laman ng Preamble ng constitution na ang sovereign Filipino people ay ang kataastasan na owtoridad at kapangyarihan sa bansa. It is supreme over the constitution.

Baka nakalimutan niya na ang 1987 constitution ay na hijack ng oligarkaya at elit politikal kung saan karamihan dito na nakikinabang ay mga dilaw na kung saan ay kasama siya. This constitute as a threat to national security. The sovereign will has been undermined and exploited since 1986.

Baka nakalimutan niya na isang revolutionary government ang nagbigay daan na para maitatag ang 1987 Constitution.

Matagal ng sira ang ating demokrasya. Kayo, kasama ng buong oposisyon ang sumira sa demokrasya sa ating bayan.

Baka nakalimutan niya na sila ang nanggugulo ng bayan. At ginagamit pa ang pera ng bayan para manggulo. They are the destabilizers and deceivers. Dapat sila ang arestuhin ng taong bayan.

Mr. Alejano, hindi mo mapipigil ang makapangyarihan kalooban ng ating bayan. Wala sa kamay ninuman ang puwedeng pumigil nito."
