Roque pulled a Mar Roxas stunt with MRT debacle
Krislam Junsay, manager of Facebook page Krislam Junsay - PARA SA BAYAN, posted an open letter to Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque who publicly rode the Metro Rail Transit System to personally assess the situation of the trains.
Junsay mentioned in his open letter on how his support towards the President Rodrigo Duterte is largely because he is a person of action and work, and does not resort to publicity stunts in order to show to the public that he is doing his job.
He does a recount of the Yolanda incident where the city of Davao was quick to respond to calls for help without reaching out to the media to report what they were doing. According to Junsay, the numerous testaments of people on then-Davao city Mayor Duterte’s act of kindness and quick thinking is what captured the votes of million of Filipinos and put his as president of the Philippines.
Junsay further says that he is not like the other Filipino bloggers who have continually bashed Secretary Roque. He says it is because he still admires the secretary mainly because of his coaching prowess toward UP for Jessup Mootcourt, and Junsay says he still thinks that Roque is still a positive asset to the Duterte administration.
There was also a mention coming from Junsay that perhaps why Secretary Roque is doing the publicity stunts is because he is running for senator is the 2019 elections, however it does not excuse him from acting like a “TRAPO” or a traditional politician.
Junsay ends his open letter by stating that we should remember the lessons from President Duterte’s 2016 victory.

"Dear Secretary Harry Roque,
I supported President Duterte because he is a man of action, and he does his job outside public attention. To President Duterte, the limelight is "hilas." Ang kanya, basta trabaho lang. Wag na magpasikat. I think this is also the same reason why he won as President.
I still remember, as if it was only yesterday, how the City of Davao assisted Filipinos affected by Typhoon Yolanda. Nagulat na lang ang Pilipinas matapos makita ang world class cutting edge equipments na mobilized na pala para tumulong sa mga biktima.
The City of Davao has been at the forefront of helping neighboring regions. 1991 pa lang when Ormoc was devastated by Typhoon Uring. Nandoon na ang Davao. Nobody outside Davao knew that fact until the 2016 elections when people were already sharing testimonials of how Davao is a model city to be emulated.
Only then was the man behind Davao's success was recognized, which catapulted him to the Presidency.
Secretary Roque, I diverge from other bloggers who have criticized you very harshly. 2 reasons. One, I admired your work when you were coaching UP to compete in Jessup Mootcourt. I think it was around 2012. I was closely following your posts on the event. And because of that, I actually toyed with the idea of, perhaps, sending my resume to your office when it was created less than a month ago.
Second, I still think you're still an asset to the Duterte government. Your legal knowledge is profound, and that knowledge is important during this perilous time of widespread international black propaganda against Duterte.
We all know you are running for a senate position in 2019. Hence, your publicity stunts. But please, Secretary, wag natin kalimutan yung lesson na nakuha natin from Mar Roxas. What you did in MRT was a complete Mar Roxas. TRAPO as hell!
What we should remember are the lessons from Duterte's 2016 victory, that people remember genuine small gestures of help. Di na kailangan ng mga engradeng pasikat. Bsta do your job well, and things will follow. And sir, bihira matalo ang mga senatorial candidates ng isang sikat na pangulo
Sir please, last na sana yung sa MRT."
