They will never know the truth until they come here - Atty. Rivera

Social media personality with over one hundred thousand followers, Atty. Bruce Rivera, took it to Facebook to express his frustration over Amnesty International Philippines Director Butch Olano statement about Philippines hosting a Human Rights Summit.

Rivera stated that Olano’s claim that President Rodrigo Duterte does not have the moral ascendancy to host a Human Rights summit because of the alleged human rights violations the country suffers, is financially motivated.

He went on to claim that Amnesty International will never find out the truth of how “dirty” the Philippines really is because Olano is not even allowing them to visit and see for themselves the situation of the country.

According to Rivera, the best and accurate way for them to judge is to hold the summit in Philippines.

However, human rights activists in the country are opposing it, even when the government itself volunteered to host.

He said that once Amnesty international knows the real situation of the country, the human rights activists in the country will be losing funding, as what they are after for is the money that comes with it.

Here is Rivera’s full post,

"LOGIC ESCAPES

Amnesty International (AI) Philippines Director Butch Olano claims that PRD does not have the moral ascendancy to invite for an HR summit because it is improper to invite someone to a dirty house.

Well, how will AI know if the house is really dirty if you are not allowing them to visit. HR activists are crying like babies about the human rights situation in the Philippines so what best way to show their plight but to hold their summit here. So the world can see the “real” Philippines and decide if it is really dirty.

Problem is, even when our government is volunteering to host, the HR activists on the ground are opposing it for a very simple reason: it is very difficult to stage EJK on that level of scenario they are telling the world. Where will they find people willing to be killed just to validate their narrative.

And they will not risk being exposed as just exaggerated storytellers because they lose relevance and yes...FUNDING.

It is all about the money. Kung may HR issues, kikita sila. Kung wala, nga-nga."
