Trillanes reaping the seeds that he’s sowed due to his double-edged tongue

Senator Antonio Trillanes IV incited sedition through rebellion when he committed the criminal act of encouraging the military to kill the President Rodrigo Duterte last October during his privilege speech.

The Philippine Daily Inquirer wrote that multiple lawyer who filed the complaint were Former Negros Oriental Rep. Jacinto “Jing” Paras as well as lawyers Manuel Luna, Eligio Mallari, and Nasser Marohomsalic.

Kung makikita ito ng mga sundalo, M-60 ang gagamitin sa’yo kasi marami-rami ito. Mauubos ‘yung magasin, kung ₱40 million ‘yung hinahanap mo.”

This was the line that provoked the lawyers to sue Trillanes, the line that according to Paras is a “…criminal act of inciting the military and people to sedition, inciting to rebellion or creating a scenario for coup d’etat.”

Mallari then clarified that this is not “mere symbolism” at all.

That’s not symbolism. When you do such thing, that’s inciting to sedition and you’re calling on all the people to act against the President,” Mallari said.

And to top things off, another case would be filed against Trillanes, on the grounds that of his assertions on Duterte’s Php. 2 billion, alleged ill-gotten wealth.

"By concocting lies and spurious documents, he has encouraged, he has called on the military to kill the President. Sabi niya, ‘Nako kung makikita ito ng mga sundalo, M-60 machine guns ang gagamitin sa ‘yo. Mauubos bala nito’, meaning kay Mr. President.”

According to Paras, the complaint is still being reviewed but “definitely, it will be filed in two to three days.
