Trump says he’ll practice singing so he could do a duet with Duterte

When President Rodrigo Duterte sang as per request of the US President Donald Trump during the ASEAN gala dinner, the requester felt left behind and said that in order to have a duet with Duterte, he should start practicing singing.

“The Filipino performers were great. But the greatest performer was him,” Trump complimented.

Duterte sang the song that was composed by Louie Ocampo, “Ikaw” with lyrics by George Canseco.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I sang an invited duet with Ms. Pilita Corrales upon the orders of the commander-in-chief of the United States,” Duterte said after his performance.

Based on the observations of the presidential adviser on peace Secretary Jesus Dureza, the US presient was amazed by the performances that night.

“You should practice singing too so you could do a duet together next time.” Dureza told Trump.

“Great idea, I’ll do that.” Trump replied.

The ASEAN gala dinner was held at SMX Mall of Asia, Pasay City last Sunday.
