Former representative to CJ Sereno: "Not acting on electoral protest is not giving justice to the people"

Lawyer by profession, Liberal party member and a previous representative of the lone district Biliran Atty. Glenn Chong reminds Chief Justice Maria Sereno of the pending electoral case between incumbent Vice-President Leni Robredo and challenger Bongbong Marcos as an indicator of the Chief Justice’ apparent negligence, and hypocrisy for calling herself as a “pro-people” yet not speeding up a case that will affect millions of Filipinos.

Back 2016, Bongbong Marcos challenged the win of current Vice-president, Leni Robredo, for allegedly committing the tampering in the electoral process of the election.

The case was recently accepted in the Supreme Court but until now, it has remained stagnant.

Glenn Chong through a Facebook post calls this prolonged period of the case us a product of deliberate negligence and an action that questions the chief magistrate’s claims of reforming the judiciary.

He claimed that the case an important case to the nation, and action was needed to be done immediately.

The Facebook post ended with Chong reminding the chief magistrate of reflecting her claims of standing for people with the actions that she espouses as the Chief Justice.
