Sass Sasot revealed how anti-Duterte Facebook pages manipulate people

Sass Sasot, using her official Facebook page, For the Motherland-Sass Rogando Sasot, took another kit at the online media news agency Rappler.

In her post, Sasot said that Russia manipulated the United States elections through using Facebook.

According to Sasot, the method used by the manipulators is through using the sponsored posts feature of the social media site.

Russia allegedly paid Facebook to boost the political propaganda that they had against the US.

Sasot parallelled this to Rappler, who also used Facebook’s sponsored post feature.

The post was accompanied with pictures as examples of Rappler having sponsored posts.

To end her post, she tagged Maria Ressa in order to ask for a response towards the allegations.

"Alam niyo ba kung papaano raw na-manipulate ng Russia ang election sa US through Facebook? Through "Sponsored" posts. Nagbayad daw ang Russia sa Facebook para i-boost ang mga political propaganda nito.

Ngayon, given that argument, ano bang mga Facebook Pages sa Pilipinas ang madalas makitaan ng SPONSORED posts?

Through Sponsored Posts, kahit hindi ka nag-like sa Page eh pwedeng i-serve ng Facebook sa iyong NewsFeed ang posts nila.
