Veteran newscaster to GMA Network journalists: "You are a disgrace to the time honored profession of Journalism
Jay Sonza, a veteran newscaster and talk show host, furiously calls out and demands proof of the allegations made US Human rights watchdog that Pro Duterte bloggers, social media influencers and celebrities, and keyboard warriors were paid by the Philippine government to promote a propaganda for the war on illegal drugs policy of the president.
Last Thursday, Sonza shared on his social media account a screenshot of a report of the GMA about the Philippine government paying ‘keyboard warriors’, and brief but obvious challenge to the said claim of the article to prove its allegations against the Duterte administration.
On November 14, a US based Human Rights watchdog claimed that the Philippine government hired individuals to promote the War on Drugs policy of the Duterte administration.
The article claimed that the administration was using state resources to sway public opinion in favor of its most controversial policy.

Paid commentators, trolls, bots, and false news media sites were the means of the “keyboard army” of Duterte that was allegedly used by the administration to promote its political cause of strengthening and solidifying popular support for the War on Drugs policy.
The article sited how members of “keyboard army” could earned as much as 500 pesos or 10 dollars a day just by stirring up and influencing social discussion.
